The body of a 24-year-old woman — whose identity has not yet been released — was discovered on I-476 northbound at milepost 21.2 in Plymouth Township around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, authorities said.
Despite initial reports of a fatal pedestrian crash, police confirmed the death was not caused by traffic.
Two northbound lanes were closed for several hours as police investigated the scene.
No foul play was suspected, and no criminal charges were pending, according to police.
